Peter Idziak joined the Dallas office of Polunsky Beitel Green, LLP in July 2019 and is currently the firm’s Senior Associate Attorney. He has represented clients in all areas of residential mortgage lending for more than a decade. Lenders regularly call Mr. Idziak for his advice on regulatory matters and compliance issues concerning all aspects of consumer lending and real property law.
Mr. Idziak has extensive experience advising lenders regarding federal and state consumer financial laws and regulations, including the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), Truth in Lending Act (TILA), Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), and Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA). He also routinely provides guidance to clients concerning Veterans Administration (VA), Federal Housing Administration (FHA) and Government-Sponsored Enterprise (GSE) requirements.
In his role as the firm’s Senior Associate Attorney, Mr. Idziak is also responsible for training and supervising the firm’s Associate Attorneys.
An honors graduate in Government at Harvard University, Mr. Idziak earned his law degree with honors, at the University of Texas School of Law. While in law school, he was member of the Texas International Law Journal and a director with the Texas Journal of Oil, Gas and Energy Law.
