Cody Beitel

Cody Beitel joined Polunsky Beitel and Green in January 2021 as an Associate Attorney in the San Antonio office. He provides mortgage regulatory compliance and legal advice to lenders in all aspects of residential mortgage transactions.

In his role, Mr. Beitel has extensive knowledge of investor requirements lenders must meet to be able to sell loans in the secondary market, including Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac requirements for the use of powers of attorneys to close mortgage loan transactions.

Mr. Beitel is an honors graduate from St. Mary’s University School of Law, where he served as Articles Editor on the St. Mary’s Law Journal Editorial Board as well as President of the St. Mary’s University School of Law Technology and Intellectual Property Association. He was also selected to membership in the Phi Delta Phi Legal Honors society.

Mr. Beitel is proud to have provided pro bono support services for soldiers and veterans as a member of the Warrior Defense Project, including the research and writing of an amicus brief filed with The United States Supreme Court for a case involving the Army National Guard Recruiting Assistance Program.

Prior to Law School, Mr. Beitel served as a Systems Administrator for the Nueces County Appraisal district, a position which has given him practical insight into the Texas Ad Valorem property tax appraisal process and certification.
