Allan Polunsky is the managing partner and founder of Polunsky Beitel Green, LLP, one of the country’s top residential mortgage law firms. Allan advises banks and other lenders on document preparation for residential mortgage transactions, commercial real estate matters and government affairs related to residential and commercial development.

A veteran of the residential mortgage industry for more than 30 years, Allan was one of the first attorneys in Texas to earn Board Certification from the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in both Residential Real Estate Law and Commercial Real Estate Law. He has served as general counsel for numerous mortgage broker and banker associations, including the Texas Association of Mortgage Brokers. His professional honors include being named to the annual Texas Super Lawyers list every year since 2006.

Allan also is the only person in Texas history to serve as Chairman of both the Texas Public Safety Commission and the Texas Board of Criminal Justice, the state’s top two criminal justice agencies. He has served as Chairman of the Public Safety Commission since 2007, following 13 years as a member of the Board of Criminal Justice, including five years as chairman.
